FieldScaper: Advanced Field Recorder and Sound Warp Engine

FieldScaper is a powerful tool for sound professionals and enthusiasts alike, offering a unique combination of an advanced field recorder and a sound warp engine. Its collection of dynamic presets allows users to easily create and construct unusual and exciting sounds from any environmental audio recordings or samples recorded from other apps through Inter-App audio or Audiobus.

One of the main advantages of FieldScaper is its ability to record and modify samples within the app itself. Users can effortlessly record sounds and noises, delete unwanted parts, and then utilize presets to give a whole new sound or create spectacular soundscapes and textures. Additionally, FieldScaper can be used as an effect in real-time with other apps or external input.

The app consists of two main parts: the field recorder and the scaper sound engine. The field recorder offers various options for recording environmental sounds from the microphone or other sound sources. The sample editor allows for easy cutting or splitting of source samples. On the other hand, the scaper sound engine, with its dynamic presets, can transform even the most ordinary sounds into something completely different. While these parts work together seamlessly, users also have the flexibility to use the recorder or scaper independently.

FieldScaper supports complete MIDI control for all faders, knobs, and many buttons, allowing users to change parameters such as oscillators, filters, delays, and mixers using any external MIDI controller or MIDI apps like sequencers. This makes it incredibly convenient for live performances.
